Sr Analog IC Product Engieer

Description:
Sr. Product Engineer

Responsible for new product introduction, characterization, qualification, yield analysis, and transfer to production of custom analog integrated circuits; RF, Mixed Signal and Data Conversion products.

The main product to support is a very high performance SiGe BiCMOS 250 MSPS 14 bit communications analog to digital converter. The chip is huge, very complex and is packaged in a 256 pin BGA. There is lots of high performance RF circuitry in this product. It is optimized for second Nyquist zone operation so it operates much faster than the 250 MSPS indicates.

Requirements include a BSEE or higher, 7+ years analog IC product engineering experience (at a COMMERCIAL semiconductor company) with proven ability to launch new products to production, perform detailed yield enhancement and cost analysis, and architect manufacturing flows and reliability processes. Applicant must also have outstanding communication and people skills, be able to effectively lead a project team, and possess the ability to juggle many projects and work in a fast-paced environment. US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Must have requirements:
Product Engineering experience with complex (over 1,000 transistor) ANALOG integrated circuits operating at 100 MHz or above. Not op amps, not digital logic, not discretes, etc

The following experience would be particularly applicable:
Prior product engineering experience with Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog Converters at the integrated circuit level. Especially high speed (> 100 MSPS) converters used in communication systems.
IC level experience with high integration CMOS, BiCMOS and/or SiGe products.
Prior experience managing the activities of PE technicians or junior engineers.
Solid data analysis experience including programming (such as VBA programming and Microsoft Access, for example.)
Significant prior experience introducing the first new products of new product lines into high volume commercial production.

Those local to the Los Angeles area are preferred.

Salary range for the position: $85K - $110K
